When H&M announces a new designer collaboration, you know it’s going to be big. And when said collaboration is with one of the most respected names in #fashion and features a short film from creative visionary Baz Luhrmann, you know it’s going to be huge. Announced today, H&M x Erdem is happening, and you may want to start lining up for the fall drop now.
After the wildly successful H&M x Balmain in 2015, the world’s been waiting for another designer collaboration of equal caliber for the fast-fashion retailer, and this fits the bill. While Erdem Moralioglu‘s runway collections are often beyond the everywoman’s price point, this new collab is a chance to get in on his signature #style on a budget.
“I want it to be pieces you’ll be wearing in 10 years’ time, as women do with my own clothes,” Moralioglu told Vogue. His pieces are indeed undeniably timeless, without seeming dated — think femme silhouettes, luxe-feeling fabrics, and dainty florals with a modern touch.
A teaser of the short film that goes along with H&M x Erdem was released today as well, and in true Luhrmann style, it’s dreamy and romantic — not unlike Moralioglu’s designs. Here’s a look at it.
